Weeks after hitting the one-year mark, the royal couple steps out at a May 11 gala to kick off the London 2012 Olympic festivities. The displays a little more than usual in one of her Most Beautiful ensembles to date – and judging by that face, husband doesn’t seem to mind.

The Duchess makes waves – literally! – as she joins her husband for the March 2 wedding of close friend and polo player Mark Tomlinson, who married Olympic equestrian Laura Bechtolsheimer in the Swiss mountains. The royal couple, joined by , make a point – with a smile! – during an April 26 tour of the Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in London, where they took a behind-the-scenes look at Harry Potter. The couple created their own bit of magic three months later when they welcomed their first child and future heir to Britain on July 22.
