Australian animal lovers are bottle-feeding 300 baby flying foxes–bats that resemble foxes when they grow up–that have turned up orphaned after huge storms.

Surely some fans of Twilight will answer the call for volunteers to nurse these charismatic (and surprisingly cute) baby bats at Wildcare Australia.

The bat hospital has 60 volunteers working shifts to nurse the baby bats, some of which were as young as one-week, dehydrated and cold when found.

Normally the momma bat wraps the baby in her wings to keep it warm until it's five or six weeks old. But Trish Wimberley of Wildcare says the moms might have gone to pick up food and gotten lost in the storms.
