When Princess Beatrice of York received a puppy for Christmas seven years ago, the little guy immediately became part of the royal family. The Norfolk terrier recently went missing
, and now, the entire royal family is canvassing Windsor, England to find him. Max, the beloved pet of Princess Beatrice, 20, ran off during a walk through Windsor Great Park last week. So far, the princess's attempts at finding him – plastering the park with flyers, calling her royal protection police, and even toting a handbag with Max's likeness – have failed. Max is a sandy-colored pooch, and is missing two front teeth. Though he is micro-chipped, he was not wearing a collar when he ran away.
The Queen of England stepped in to help her granddaughter this week, spending hours of her time searching for Max while commanding her gamekeepers and gardeners to scour her 5,000-acre Windsor estate, too. A dog lover herself, the Queen has owned more than 30 Corgis during her reign and is currently "mum" to a handful of Dorgis (corgi-dachshund mixes) and cocker spaniels as well.
