Meet Twiggy the Water-Skiing Squirrel!
A squirrel stole the show at the 104th Annual New York National Boat Show in New York City over the weekend. Her name is Twiggy and she's a whiz on water skis that are attached to a remote-controlled boat. Her owner, LouAnn Best, tells U.K.'s Telegraph that she's been training orphaned squirrels to water ski for 30 years, starting with the first Twiggy who was rescued after a hurricane in 1978. "I tell everybody it's like training a husband: Give him lots of love and affection and tell him the same thing over and over," Best says of her training technique. Twiggy was not only a star at the boat show, but, according to her Web site, she has appeared in several movies.
