Rocko Gets A Home! But Your Help Still Needed For Fire-Destroyed Shelter
Here's some good news about the survivors a December fire that killed 140 cats, three dogs and 60 other small pets at the Humane Society of Durham Region in Oshawa, Ontario. Most, including this adorable Husky named Rocko, have found new homes, manager Ruby Richards told PEOPLE Pets. Rocko was "quite hyperactive and needed some work, but his owners absolutely love him," Richards says.

However, of the ten dogs, two cats and a rat that survived, two animals are still in need of a loving family. One cat and one dog, which both require homes without kids, are still listed on Petfinder.com. Matthew, an orange and white cat, is in a foster home. Chopper, a chow mix "has been spoiled rotten, he's kind of our baby," Richards says. "So we're going to be very particular about where he goes."

Richards says the shelter will rebuild as soon as it can find some land. Meanwhile, they desperately need donations and supplies.
