They could slither, but they couldn't hide: Two pythons on the run – a 23-foot-long reticulated python and a 13-foot-long friend – were recovered last week
in San Luis Obispo, Calif., nearly 24 hours after they escaped their owner's terrarium. While the snakes were on the lam, officials warned residents to keep tabs on their children and pets, who could've easily made meals for the pythons. Luckily, no snake-related injuries were reported, and the 23-foot-long snake was found just a few backyards away (the 13-footer was located under the owner's porch). The owner won't be cited, as there are no leash laws for snakes in the California town.
