Bill Clinton Reminisces About First Dog Buddy
Harry Truman once said, "If you want a friend in Washington, get a dog." So when Chelsea Clinton packed her bags and headed off to Stanford University in 1997, Hillary Clinton gave her husband, then-President Bill Clinton, a chocolate Labrador to help him deal with his daughter's departure. Former President Clinton appeared on the Martha Stewart Show yesterday, and when Stewart asked Clinton about his loyal pup, who was killed in an accident in 2001, the former president got a little choked up.
