Forget the gowns and jewels. We were all cooing over Mickey Rourke's "Loki" necklace that he was sporting on the Oscar's red carpet. New York-based jewelry designer Betina Wassermann created the piece after hearing the sad news that the nominee's beloved Chihuahua had died (she recently lost a dog herself). As she explains on her Etsy page
, the pendant is made by soldering the image of Loki between two pieces of glass with Silvergleem lead-free solder. The actor's pendant is double sided and 1 inch x 1 inch square. Wassermann can make you your own pendant for $30 via Etsy
. She was happy to whip up the striking accessory for the Oscar-nominee and she even received a personal thank you from the star in return. "To my complete amazement, Mr. Rourke actually took time out of his busy schedule to call and thank me personally the following day. I was shocked!" she tells PEOPLE Pets. "He seemed so touched and genuinely thankful. He said, 'I've got it on and I ain't taking it off.'"
