It doesn't take much to make a pet comfortable. A soft cushion on the floor, a sunny spot by the window, whatever newspaper you're reading – they're all places your pet can cop a squat. So we were perplexed when we came across Smucci's Beach Cradle Bed, a manger for your furry bundle of joy. It looks more like furniture from a nativity scene than a relaxing place for your pet to snooze.
The $300 "nest" is made of knotty, distressed pine, and according to the Web site "has a whitewashed finish that accentuates the beauty of the wood giving an overall appearance of driftwood found along the beach."
It's a precious option, but from our experience, cats don't need much to achieve a restful siesta. Instead, we could see that $300 going to an animal charity to help even more pets find a comfy place to rest their tails.
