Does your cat blow out birthday candles on a catnip cake? Or does your dog feast on filet mignon for his big day? For putting up with us humans 365 days a year, we figure our pets deserve something a little special on their birthday (or adoption day!).
But it's been a while since we've seen a celebration as fun as Boris the cat's! This lucky feline (BorisKitty on Twitter) had a ball – and we're talking about the fun kind – at the birthday bash his mom, Kelly Hoffman, had for him on the Fourth of July. "This was actually the first party we have thrown for any of our kitties," says Hoffman. "While we love all four of them, Boris has a special spot in our hearts. He came into our lives when he was only 3 weeks old."
Hoffman took to Boris's blog to post about the festivities – and all the preparations behind them. She went to CatToys.com to pick out a bunch of fun presents for her little guy, and even got party favors for her furry guests. Humans dined on Fourth of July barbecue fare while cats dug into some Fancy Feast – and a cheeseburger-shaped cake. As Boris said, it was "a most wunnerful birfaday."
