Okay, we're officially jealous of Khloe Kardashian! The reality star recently got up close and personal with a lion cub in South Africa -- and if that wasn't enough, the cutie (pictured above) has a sibling which Kardashian saw as well.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star met the cubs at a private dinner hosted by South African actress Lee-Anne Summers on July 16 for the Diamond Empowerment Fund. "Lee-Anne Summers had the cubs there so we could 'experience' South Africa," Kardashian tells PEOPLE Pets. "It was an amazing thing to experience. The dinner, the people, South Africa and the cubs! The sister cub was a little afraid so she stayed upstairs! The cubs were only 10 weeks old! Crazy!"
Kardashian is touring the country with sister Kim and Kim's beau Reggie Bush on behalf of the Diamond Empowerment Fund, a nonprofit organization that raises money to help economically disadvantaged people in African nations where diamonds are a natural resource. Its chairman and CEO is hip-hop entrepreneur Russell Simmons.
And this past Saturday, the Kardashian siblings were excited to celebrate a very important South African holiday -- Mandela Day. Khloe even took to her blog to talk about the former South African president's 91st birthday.
"This day serves as a global call to action for people to use their own individual power to do good," she wrote. "There's so much we all can do today so I hope you all take the time to go out and help those in need ... Today is a day to be selfless! Happy Birthday, Nelson Mandela!!!"
