Tiger Cub and German Shepherd Play Like Romper Room Pals
The two animals, who belong to zookepper Sally Padey, who owns the Mogo Zoo in Mogo, Australia, became buddies when Padey decided to hand-raise the cub at home after it suffered a leg injury. Now, Kinwah and Rumble, and Padey's other pooch, 12-year-old Hassle (not pictured), spend time together cuddling and tussling.
"They'll probably play together for quite some time. Probably for about another month," Padey tells PEOPLE Pets, adding that she plans to introduce Kinwah to his biological brother soon. "They'll always grow up being a little bit quieter than your normal, average tiger when you hand-raise them like this."
Kinwah playfully scratches or bites Padey when she bottle feeds him now, but one day he will weigh some 350 lbs. and will live in an enclosure at the zoo, which is home to more than 200 animals, including snow leopards, white lions and red pandas.
For now though, Kinwah and Rumble are loving their time together – and the cub is enjoying tearing up the lounge area of Padey's home, where he primarily spends his time
"I've decided to give him a little nickname called FD: Find and Destroy," Padey, who first told the little guy's story to the Daily Mail, says with a laugh. "He'll [destroy] anything he can get a hold of. He's a tiger, he's playful. I suppose you could akin it to having a Great Dane as a puppy – all they want to do is chew everything up."
