And some people say cats are lazy! Paige the cat often made herself quite useful in Rosemary's Haines's kitchen by sitting atop the door – like an upside-down doorstop! Luckily, getting to that lofty perch was a cinch for the agile feline.
"She could reach by getting on the stove and crossing over to the fridge," says Haines (emmas15). "When the door was open it was very easy to reach from there."
And getting down? Not a problem! "She always did as she pleased," says Haines of Taneytown, Md.
The cat, who passed away on May 11, was quite a character. "She loved to get in the fancy feast boxes after the box was empty," she says. "I also had a diaper bag I hung in the bathroom and I caught her with her head popped out many a time."
Two and a half years old when this photo was taken, Paige (a.k.a. Pagey Pie) was only 5 when she died but brought lots of joy to the household in her short life. "She only lived a few years," she says. "But they can make a lot of impact on us while they are here." Ain't that the truth!
