Authorities are offering a $1,000 reward for the conviction of the "sick" person who wrapped a female cat's entire body in duck tape and dumped it in North Philadelphia on Wednesday. The adult cat, nicknamed Sticky, had to be sedated so that the tape could be removed but is now doing well. "We're lucky that the tape was not on the cat for a long time. It came off easily," a PSPCA spokesperson said.--Philly.com

Italian Mafia boss Antonio Cristofaro used his 3-ft. long crocodile to threaten people, notably entrepreneurs, and extort money. The reptile, which ate live rats and rabbits, lived atop Cristofaro's condominium and was capable of pulling off human limbs. Cristofaro has been charged with illegal possession of animals.--CNN

Police recovered nine pit bulls and arrested three men while busting a dog fighting ring at the garage of a home daycare center in Maywood, Ill.
