Werewolves and zombies and Bigfoot, oh my! In honor of the year's spookiest month, October, Animal Planet launched a poll asking nearly 3,000 Americans about their paranormal beliefs. Perhaps the most surprising? A whopping 36 percent said they'd love to see Bigfoot proven to be real! While Sasquatch may never be found, respondents also said they'd like to know if ghosts, vampires and werewolves are actual beings, as well.

Some other spooky results? More than one-third of polltakers said they'd seen a ghost, and one-fifth claimed to have been visited by a dead relative. Nearly 35 percent said the believed in aliens, too. But some don't necessarily want a run-in with these creepy creatures: Respondents said they wouldn't want to meet a werewolf, vampire or zombie in a dark alley (neither would we!).

To celebrate these furry, freaky, beings, Animal Planet is premiering Lost Tapes, a show airing Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET that explores the stories of creatures like Bigfoot, werewolves, vampires and the Jersey Devil. Then, beginning November 22 at 10 p.m. ET, check out The Haunted, a 10-part series which examines stories of people whose animals act as mediaries to the afterworld. Hope your pooch isn't afraid of ghosts!
