Unforgettable. That's how humans classify the smooth baritone voice of jazz great Nat King Cole. And it seems that dogs feel the same way.
Identical twins Timolin and Casey Cole, the youngest daughters of the late great crooner, indulge their 3-year-old pet Labs, Treble and King Cole, by playing their dad's standards.
Timolin Cole tells PEOPLEPets.com, "Treble's ears perk up when he hears Nat King Cole music, like the song 'Straighten Up and Fly Right.'" Throughout the holidays, Timolin plays "The Christmas Song" and Treble becomes peaceful and calm when he hears it.
Timolin and Casey, the sisters of Natalie Cole and the late Carole Cole, live with their families a couple of minutes apart in Boca Raton, Fla., and run the Nat King Cole Generation Hope Foundatio
, which funds music education for children of all ages and ethnic backgrounds. Their beloved Labs, who are three months apart in age, are growing up as if they were members of the same family.
"I play pop, jazz and classical CDs for Treble to enjoy while I am away," says Timolin, a former production assistant for NBC News. "Casey leaves the radio on for King. We don't like them to feel alone. When the dogs hear music they feel secure."
The twins, 48, were raised with dogs in Los Angeles and wouldn't live any other way.
"We are both guilty of totally pampering our pets," Casey Cole, also a record producer, tells PEOPLEPets.com. "I watch TV with King, I take him to the park. He is my heart. He is always there for me no matter what kind of day I am having. I love him."
Timolin calls herself a "hands-on doggie mom," even massaging Treble two or three days a week and feeding him fresh salmon in his dog food for dinner.
"Treble represents complete and unconditional love and loyalty," Timolin says. "I'm crazy about him!"
No matter how busy their crazy schedules with kids and work can be, there is always time in the day for Treble and King. "They are members of the family," agree the twins. "Pure and simple."See more celebrity pets on PEOPLEPets.com: National Dog Show Is John O'Hurley's 'Favorite Day of the Year' Paris Hilton Asks Twitter Fans to Name Her New Parrot
