Nothing could be more sublime for 3-year-old Knut the polar bear than a bunch of frozen grapes, apples and fish. And the big guy deserves the best – it was his birthday, after all! On Dec. 5, the hand-reared polar bear rang in the start of his third year with a frozen cake party at his bear enclosure at the Berlin Zoo. Knut recently shared some good times with his (just barely) older woman polar bear girlfriend Giovanna – we hope he saved a piece for her!
