Congratulations, Trouble! Your New Year's Resolution Is a Winner
Last month, we put a call out for your pets' best New Year's resolutions. We wanted to hear which bad habits your cuddly critters promised to kick in 2010 – and you delivered! We received nearly 300 submissions, and narrowed it down to five terrific winners, who will receive a $300 donation to the shelter of their choice and be featured each day this week on PEOPLEPets.com.

Today's winner is Trouble, a gorgeous 18-lb. striped kitty who lives with his owner, Duke Scofield, in Plover, Wis. – and who has a name that suits him! Trouble's New Year's resolution is "to stop teasing the fish and beating up Mickey the dog."

We bet Mickey and the fish will be glad to hear that!

Each winner receives a $300 donation – plus a generous food donation – to the animal shelter of their choice, courtesy of Wellness Natural Food for Pets. The winner also receives a gift basket as a great incentive to keep his or her resolution!

Trouble and Duke have designated The Portage County Humane Society of Plover, Wis., to receive the donation.

Thanks to everyone who entered the "If Pets Had New Year's Resolutions" contest, sponsored by RomeotheCat.com, Wellness Natural Food for Pets and PEOPLEPets.com. Check back each day this week for more winners!

Meet Monday's winner, Bailey Bear the dog!
