She's loved animals all her life, so it's only fitting that the print edition of her life story would benefit furry creatures big and small.

Bluewater Productions has just announced that funny girl and animal lover Ellen DeGeneres is the latest woman to be featured in their Female Force comic book series, available on Wednesday, with a portion of proceeds going to the Humane Society of the United States.

The comic book ($3.99) traces the talk-show host's life from her childhood in Louisiana to the comedy circuit, and later to fame on TV. It also touches on her love of animals and her desire to become a veterinarian as a kid.

"Ellen has been a leading force for animal protections issues," Michael Markarian, chief operating officer of the HSUS, said in a statement thanking DeGeneres for her contributions.

The new American Idol judge is one of many influential women who've been featured in the Female Force series; Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey and Hillary Clinton have also been immortalized in comic illustration.

Thirty-eight pages long, the comic, written by Sandra C. Ruckdeschel and penciled by Pedro Ponzo, even includes sketches of DeGeneres's at-home wedding to Portia De Rossi – complete with a dog in one of their wedding photos!
