VIDEO: One Picky Eater Rocco DiSpirito Can't Please? His Dog!
Dogs aren't generally known to be finicky about their food – drop anything to the floor, and they're lapping it up in 0.002 seconds. So it took chef Rocco DiSpirito by surprise when his rescue, Tisha, displayed a very particular palette.
"When I first got her, she had been through a lot," DiSpirito, whose new book, Now Eat This! is now on sale. "I thought, 'Okay, well, I'll cook for her."
He dug into the deepest parts of his culinary knowledge to make things like organic, dehydrated lamb's liver tasty – but Tisha, 10, wouldn't bite.
"Literally wouldn't eat anything I made her," DiSpirito says. He eventually found the perfect canned food for her, which is now all she'll eat!
