VIDEO: Canines Keep Kosher for Passover Seder in L.A.
Pass the matzo, pooch: On Wednesday evening, the third night of Passover, 46 yarmulke-clad dogs attended the first non-Denominational Passover Seder for Dogs, held at L.A.'s Hotel Palomar. The event, organized by online dog magazine Dog News Daily, put on a fancy spread for canines and their two-legged counterparts that included a feast of kosher food in the hotel's ballroom (kosher dog food courtesy of Evanger's pet food and dessert biscuits supplied by Wagatha's). Celebrities guests like Twilight's Edi Gathegi and model Katie Lohmann were also in tow and brushed elbows with adoptable pooches from Best Friend Animal Society and Los Angeles Animal Services. One very lucky mini-doberman mix named Peony even found a forever home at the dinner – now there's a reason to bark mazel tov!
