Another day, another dramatic episode for Kim Kardashian! While working on a photo shoot in Sydney, Australia, on Saturday, the reality star posed with a black cat, and snapped a shot of herself holding it by the scruff of its neck to post to Twitter. After the photo was posted, PETA took issue with the manner in which Kardashian was handling the cat.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, PETA Australia spokesman Jason Baker said that Kardashian "isn't the only person who mistakenly thinks that because a mother cat picks up her kittens by the scruff of the neck that a supportive hand under the rump isn't needed."
Kardashian took to her blog yesterday to reassure fans that she hadn't mistreated the cat. "The owner and vet were on set and showed me how to pick him up," she wrote. "The cat was not harmed in any way and is perfectly fine! I love animals and would never do anything to harm [them]."
