Holly Robinson Peete is having a banner run on this season’s Celebrity Apprentice. She has so far been spared Donald Trump’s infamous missive, and last week, as project manager, Robinson Peete led her team to raise the most amount of money in a single task in the show’s history.
On last night’s episode, Robinson Peete surprised her husband, Rodney Peete, with a check for $347,000, which they plan to use to build a center for autism. Peete, in turn, surprised his wife with a visit from her four bouncing kids, who tackled her to the floor in a big bear hug.
Robinson Peete stopped by our studios recently to chat about her time on the show, and shared stories about her family, which includes her two “four-legged kids,” Frederick Douglass Peete and Harriet Tubman Peete.
Harriet, a Newfoundland, not only is a “huge line item in our budget for food,” she’s a loving companion to Robinson Peete’s oldest son, R.J., who is autistic.
“She’s almost like a service dog for R.J.,” Robinson Peete tells PEOPLEPets.com. “She’s brought him out of his shell in a lot of ways.”
