Betty White's Next Project: Finding a Cure for Pet Cancers

The big C – it's not just something that humans fear. Did you know that it's the No. 1 disease-related cause of death in pets? It's true, and Betty White is doing something to change that.
The 88-year-old actress is the spokesperson for a PETCO and Blue Buffalo pet foods partnership that aims to raise awareness and money for research throughout May, Pet Cancer Awareness Month. For each bag of Blue Buffalo dog or cat food that you buy, the company will donate $1 to pet cancer research via the Morris Animal Foundation. Not a fan of that particular pet food? You can donate a dollar or more at any PETCO register too. The goal is to reach $1 million by the end of the month, and so far they're halfway there.
If there's one thing we know about fans of Betty White, it's that they're not shy about supporting their girl (a Facebook group rallied to get her on Saturday Night Live, after all), so answer her call and donate today! Every little bit helps.
