Etsy Fave! People Food, in Safe, Soft and Fuzzy Form
On Tuesday we told you about Stella, a 7-year-old bulldog that almost choked to death on a spare rib at a family barbeque -- yikes is right. So instead of tossing a human-sized treat to your furry pal at one of the many shindigs you'll be attending this summer, why not throw them the next best thing? A food or drink shaped toy!

We searched Etsy high and low for the cutest toys that will keep your pets happy and healthy throughout the summer festivities.

Does your frisky feline always go for the beer? Then snatch up a beer mug ($12) catnip toy to quench his/her thirst. Is kitty's claw always in the food? Solve that problem with the purrfect pizza ($10) catnip toy and wash it all down with a batch of milk and cookies ($18) -- what cat can resist the creamy center?

If man's best friend has a tendency to reek havoc at your picnic, treat your canine to a handmade ham ($7) or juicy steak ($7) squeaker toy -- then top off the afternoon with some Starbarks ($8.50) coffee. Hey, it's 'Fetch Roasted.'

However you chose to entertain your pets in this warm weather, be sure to keep them safe and away from the hazards – like the pool, chocolate treats or bonfires – that surround the summer months. Bone appetit!
