June is American Humane's Adopt-A-Cat month, so throughout the past few weeks we've been introducing you to cute kitties in need of loving homes. But if adoption isn't an option for you right now – or you already have some felines in your life – there's another way to help cats living in shelters.
Until the end of the month, Ann Finley's Barking Cat Jewelry is donating 10 percent of proceeds from cat necklace sales to the Best Friends Animal Society, earmarked for needy cats. Finley makes the pieces by hand, stamping text on copper, which is then soldered to sterling silver.
The line includes pendants with phrases like "Rescue Mom," "Sleeps with Cats" and "Life Is Purrfect," with cute cat charms dangling beneath. Necklaces range from $45-$49, and customization is available, too.
The cause hits close to home for Atlanta-based Finley, who has two rescue cats of her own. "I know how rewarding it is to adopt," she says. "I designed many of the pieces to be representative of just that."
