Animal D'Oh! Oliver Photobombs Bently's Glamour Shot
The 10-year-old bichon frise is also quite attached to his younger brother, a 5-year-old puli, and doesn't ever like to be separated from Bently. It might be because Oliver lost a companion, another puli, to a car accident before Bently came into his life.
According to their owner, Jeff Draves, the two dogs take over their California grooming salon each week when they visit. Draves keeps Bently's hair, which would grow to be long and corded like a mop, closely-cropped for easier maintenance. The inseparable pair "rule the roost" at the groomer's.
"Bently picks out a different kennel for them each time, never the same one," Draves tells PEOPLEPets.com. "If there's another dog in the kennel he picks, he barks until they take the dog out of there."
Bently might be the one in charge at the salon, but roles are reversed at home, where it's all Oliver, all the time.
"Oliver kind of runs everybody around here," says Draves, a flight attendant. "He always knows when I'm leaving on a trip, and if he's mad, he pees on my tires in the garage."
Oliver gets grumpy once in a while, but Bently always stays in a cheerful mood – so much so, that Draves calls him Mr. Fun Guy. No wonder Oliver always wants him around!
