Cannonball! Cesar Millan's Pack Spends Summer at the Pool
"The pack has a nice pool," Millan told PEOPLE Thursday night at Patterns for Paws, a fund-raiser for the Amanda Foundation in L.A., where he was honored. "[It's] fairly new. We move from place to place. We keep exploring new areas," he said, adding that his pack "loves to explore" his current 43 acres of land.
One member the pack is likely still missing is Daddy, Millan's beloved pit bull who passed away earlier this year. Speaking to PEOPLEPets.com in February, the TV star said he hoped to add to his brood, and those plans are definitely still intact. "I'm doing an international pack," he shared. "I want to go into different parts of the world and rescue the worst-case scenario, and show it's a global movement."
Though he currently has 10 dogs, Millan says he'd someday like to have as many as 50! "Rottweilers, pit bulls, German shepherds," he said. "I love to keep dogs that I can save."
But until he saves another, Millan is busy helping various charitable organizations and gearing up for the next season of his show. "This year, you're going to see me working with astronauts because, you know, it's funny," he shared. "Astronauts are so cool and collected, but when they come back to Earth they're, like, human."
Millan was the guest of honor at Thursday's event, joining cast members of Glee and stars like Kristin Bauer and Bill Maher for an auction and doggie fashion show. "It's always an honor," Millan said. "You do it because you love animals, and you want to give them a voice."
