To many of us, putting on make-up means getting ready for a fun night out on the town. But for Michelle Trachtenberg's French bulldog Mya it means that Mommy's about to leave her.

"She doesn't like it when I leave," Trachtenberg told PEOPLEPets.com at Tuesday night's East Harlem Target store opening in Manhattan. "She knows I am leaving when the make-up is being put on."

And like any child displeased at the idea of their parents leaving them behind, she makes it known.

"She throws a little fit," says Trachtenberg, who watches Mya "pout on the bath mat" as she gets ready. (Coincidentally, her favorite bath mat to pout on is a "fluffy" one from Target).

But Trachtenberg, who returned to the Gossip Girl set Tuesday to film episodes for season four, doesn't always leave her pup behind. She has taken Mya to the set of the hit show, where Mya hangs out with some other friendly French bulldogs and likely rubs elbow with Blake Lively's teacup maltipoo Penny, who also regularly visits. Says Trachtenberg, "Mya's a Frenchie connoisseur."
