Bringing a new dog into an already existing furry brood can be a challenge – just ask Kathie Lee Gifford, who recently added 3-lb. teacup maltipoo Bambino to her fur family, which includes 20-lb. bichon frise Louis, 3, and 80-lb. goldendoodle Lola, 2.
“When they all go outside to do their business – gathering, hunting, whatever they do – it is one of the funniest things I think I have ever seen,” Gifford told PEOPLEPets.com last week at an event to announce the Hayneedle hammocks campaign. “Bambino is just fearless – he takes on anything and anyone. You should see him go after Lola and Louis. He goes after them like he is unstoppable.”
The Today host admits that it took a while for the rambunctious little pup (who was just 12 weeks old when he was adopted) to fit in, but now he’s just one of the gang. “He’s very active but he is so incredibly loving as well,” she says.
Bambino’s older siblings will be breathing a sigh of relief once the new guy gets neutered. “Bambino is humping everything in sight, really, everything. We’re getting him fixed tomorrow,” she said. “The other dogs will be very relieved to have Bambino off the market, so to speak.”
