You'd think a big guy like Michael Clarke Duncan (who stands at a towering 6'5") would have ultimate superiority over his felines – all five of them: Pinky, Big Poppa, Whiskers, Bunny and Snowflake. But he is just one guy, after all, and a recent incident had him doubting himself as leader.
"I came down the stairs and all of my cats were sitting in a semi-circle and they all looked up at me at the same time, which was weird," the actor told PEOPLEPets.com at the Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore premiere on Sunday. "And I told them, 'No matter what you think you live a good life.' "
Was the furry brood plotting against him? "You never know," he said. "All five of them looked up at me at the same time like, 'There he is.' "
Perhaps he should have gotten his big dogs – German shepherd Matrix and Lucy the Rottweiler – on the case. The actor, who voices a sheep dog in Cats and Dogs, is a self-proclaimed "animal person" and that's why he wanted to be involved in the live-action film, which hits theaters July 30. "I love doing animated characters, so I'm glad to be a part of the project."
As for his fleet of cats, he's less proud about the funny names he's given each of them. "Don't tell anybody," he joked.
