Eston the cat has met his (stuffed) match!
The camera-loving Cornish rex has champion blood running through his veins -- both of his parents were grand champions in cat shows, according to this owner Lisa Denson. So, when Denson beckoned the statuesque feline to stand next to a stuffed version of himself, he did what he does best: pose purrfectly!
"It was a chance thing that he looked at me, like 'what am I supposed to do now?' " says Denson, who entered the feline into a local contest where he received the title of Nashville's pet of the year. "He knew he was in the limelight and he really enjoyed it."
Another thing the 1-year-old cat enjoys? Bugging people who don't pay attention to him. "If people are here and nobody's paying attention to him, he might jump up and hit you on the leg," she says.
Although Eston, who Denson adopted at just 12-weeks-old, comes from famous cat stock, deep down he's really just a dog.
"Anytime somebody comes to the door, he'll run over. I don't know if he realizes he's a cat," says Denton. "I've got a little harness for him. He likes to walk around in the yard on his leash."
