Blue crabs from the Gulf coast are showing signs of the BP oil spill's effects. Scientists have found oil in crab larvae, and it is "an ominous sign that crude had already infiltrated the Gulf's vast food web." –AP

Mars Petcare US has donated 15,000 lbs. of cat food to Southeast Louisiana in an effort to help pet owners whose lives have been affected by the recent oil spill. The Louisiana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will help distribute the food. –CatChannel.com
