Sad news: Cedric, a Tasmanian devil who was thought to be immune to a contagious facial cancer that is wiping out his species, has been euthanized. Believing that he was a possible key to saving the species, scientists had injected Cedric's face with cancer cells. He eventually succumbed to the disease. –AP
