Coyotes are so elusive that scientists who study them say it's "like working with a ghost species." Recent evidence shows that animals thought to be coyotes in the Northeast are actually coyote-wolf hybrids. –New York Times

After a police search for a suspected drug smuggler was called off, authorities went looking for their tracking dogs, who had gone missing. They found the three dogs still chasing after the suspect, who was then caught and confessed to the crime. –TheMonitor.com
