Where did Alan Cumming and dog Honey watch a movie from recently? Hint: It wasn't the couch, and popcorn wasn't involved.

"I said, 'Do you want to come in this bath?' " he told PEOPLE at the Hugo Boss Prize 2010 event at New York's Guggenheim Museum. "I lifted her up and took her into the bath, and we both sat down and watched the end of the film together. It was so cute."

The 10-year-old collie-shepherd mix wasn't treated to a showing of Lassie, but instead "this really weird, sadomasochistic film called Noir et Blanc," Cumming said. "[It's] about a man who is obsessed with this masseuse who eventually kills him." Heavy!

The 45-year-old has another 10-year-old dog, Leon, a Chihuahua with "a huge personality," Cumming shared. And he's into the arts, too! "He sings. Every time a fire engine goes by, he howls and it's the sweetest thing because he's hoarse ... he hasn't warmed up. So he sounds like someone who goes for a high note but doesn't quite make it."

But despite that, the squeaky sound is music to the Tony-winner's ears. "I like those [sounds] best," he said.
