Lea Michele Speaks Out for N.Y.C. Carriage Horses
The Glee songstress and animal activist has joined PETA in a new campaign to take the city's popular tourist attraction and rid it of the animal element.
"Imagine for a moment that you're forced to do hard physical labor all day, seven days a week – whether it's sweltering hot or freezing cold outside," Michele said through PETA. "At the end of the day, instead of relaxing on [an] easy chair or sleeping in a comfortable bed, you are locked in a tiny closet all night long."
The actress is calling for action in the form of a boycott of horse-drawn carriages in New York City. For more information on Michele's PETA campaign, check out the organization's website.
