Will Emmy Rossum Potty-Train Her Cat?
Dog lover Emmy Rossum came over to the cat side three months ago when she rescued a stray kitten from the streets of Chicago. And while she's since embraced her feline duties, there's one quirky cat characteristic she can't seem to move past: litter boxes.
"I'm just not into the whole litter box thing," she admitted Monday night on Chelsea Lately. Host Chelsea Handler agreed, admitting it's the reason she won't get a cat.
So what's a girl to do? For Shameless star Rossum, the answer is clear: potty training. Rossum said that before her appearance, one of Handler's staffers was touting the benefits of the CitiKitty, a cat training system. "It's a device that sits initially inside your bowl, and then the cat learns to go in the toilet," Rossum explained. A bonus? "[They] can eventually be trained to flush, as well."
Handler, who owns a dog, was clearly impressed by the proposition. "Let me know if that works out," she said. "If it does I might get a cat!"
