When cats and dogs live in the same house, chaos can ensue. But that's not the case with the brood who live with Dr. Oz and his wife, Lisa – the family's pets are actually quite affectionate with each other.
Their black Lab Rosie "massages the cats with her teeth," Lisa told PEOPLEPets.com at the Endrometriosis Foundation of America 3rd Annual Blossom Ball earlier this month. Added Dr. Oz, "She likes to put the cats heads in her mouth. And the cats sleep under her in her cage."
The Oz felines – their numbers vary depending on the day – might as well be Supercats, because being Rosie's pillow can't be very easy. The dog is overweight, according to her parents, and Dr. Oz has joked about having Rosie undergo gastric bypass surgery.
"Rosie's a little chubby," Lisa said. "[My husband] complains about her being fat all the time."
The cause of the canine's weight gain? Raw sirloin patties that her parents prepare for her themselves.
"I think she just eats too many of them," Lisa said. "Or maybe it's because everyone gives her snacks because she's so cute."
