Her coiled mass may have been discovered, but her Twitter feed goes on.
The Bronx Zoo's Egyptian cobra caused a stir when she went missing last week, and the media attention even led to a Twitter feed, @BronxZoosCobra, written in the snake's slithering voice.
When the venomous cobra was finally found huddled in a corner of the reptile house on Thursday, fans wondered if the snake would continue to tweet. Not only is she still a social media star, she's taking over.
On April 1, the cobra hijacked Ryan Seacrest's website, ryanseacrest.com, and took over the American Idol host's Twitter account.
The snake also landed a "deal" with Animal Planet. The two-hour documentary special, starring the sassy slider, will be called @BronxZoosCobra: Snake on the Town.
Another partnership "deal" is in the works with the Cooking Channel, which will launch a new show in May called Cobra Can Cook.
Whatever will this enterprising mega-hit of a snake do next? After all, April Fools' is only one day out of the year.
