In Joplin, Mo., where a tornado that struck Sunday has devastated the city, a search-and-rescue dog named Fire is doing his part to pitch in during the relief effort.
Trained to lay down whenever he catches a human scent, Fire sat down in the rubble on Tuesday when he encountered the remains of a dentist's office, signaling workers to search for survivors.
Following Sunday's tornado, the state of Missouri has issued a missing persons list. With the help of dogs like Fire, the rescue efforts will continue for weeks to come.
