Hoo loves you, baby? And who knew that little owls could be so romantic?
Two love birds were caught in a public display of affection by photographer Roy Mangersnes in Spain's Catalonia region.
"I had spotted the male little owl cleaning every bit of his beak and his razor sharp claws, trying to look perfect for his mate," Mangersnes said. "When the female came they were sitting close together they keep an eye on their future home."
Then, as they eyed their nest together, the male bird gave a gentle peck on the forehead to his lady. He would occasionally fly away, then bring back a worm for the female. Aww – what a hoot!
