Has somebody bit off a bit more than he can volley?
Craig Wiemeri's golden retriever might not have a good service game, but he would make a great ball boy! George has a habit of putting two tennis balls in his mouth, but every once in a while, he manages to grab hold of three at once.
"He's done it like two or three times now," Wiemeri tells PEOPLE Pets of the 7-year-old pooch. "And he does it all on his own."
"With two balls, he'll keep them in his mouth for hours on end. Sometimes he'll sleep with two balls in his mouth," he says. "The three, he'll have them in there until one falls out, usually in five or 10 minutes."
Being "a bit of a collector", George keeps around 30 toys near him at all times, five or six of which usually include tennis balls. But he's not resigned to only go after sporting equipment.
"He likes to steal out of the laundry basket," Wiemeri says. "He'll go in and take socks and shoes and whatever else he can get a hold of. He's a little bit of a thief."
While George is certainly not shy about making mischief, his family wouldn't have it any other way. Having adopted the pup at nearly a year-old from a neighboring family, Wiemeri says, "He's the best dog in the world."
