Superhero Chihuahua Takes on Armed Robbers!
Paco the pint-sized Chihuahua might be the canine Clark Kent.
The 10-lb. dog, who's being hailed a hero for barking down gun-wielding robbers before snapping at their feet as they ran out of a Altadena, Calif., tobacco store last month, is well-known as one of the neighborhood's most super-friendly and relaxed canines.
"I was shocked [when I heard] because normally he's really laid-back, just sitting back, taking it easy," store neighbor Cecil Griffin told Good Morning America.
Shop owner Eric Knight, who spends most days at the store with Paco, was also surprised when the dog sprang into action in the heat of the terrifying robbery, in which no one was hurt.
"I was shocked to see what he did," he said. "Especially running across the street [to chase them] was amazing."
The underestimated pooch, whose actions reportedly prevented the robbers from stealing less money than they'd intended to take, received his very own superhero cape during his appearance on the morning show. We think a pair of geeked-out frames are in order, too!
