Peter Dinklage won the Emmy for best supporting actor in a drama, and he had to give a shout out to the one person who allowed him to be there to accept the award: his dog sitter.

"I would like to thank my dog sitter, whose name is Kitty, for taking care of my dog Kevin back in New York, while I'm here," he said on stage Sunday, as his wife, actress Erica Schmidt, giggled in the audience. "I won!"



The actor, who also thanked the writer and producer of the show Game of Thrones, is frequently spotted walking his black and white pal around the New York City streets.

While Kitty the dog sitter received a special nod, Dinklage saved the most important thank-you for last. "I love you, Erica," he said to his wife. "You're amazing."
