Katie Couric Welcomes Dog Cooper to the Family
She may no longer be the anchor of the CBS Evening News, but Katie Couric has revealed some big news on the home front – she and her daughters have a new dog!
On Sept. 21, Couric posted a picture of the adorable Shih Tzu-bichon mix on her WhoSay page, asking followers to submit names. A few days later, she shared a video revealing the name her daughter, Carrie, selected for the fluffy 3 month old.
"She decided to name him Cooper, kind of like Mini Cooper," Couric said, while holding the wiggly pup in her arms.
She also was pleased to report that the dog was happy in his new home, except for a few growing pains.
"He's doing well," she said, "But not always using the wee-wee pad – but he's working on that. Right, mister?"
