While touring Brisbane, Australia, on Monday, England's Queen Elizabeth was introduced to two very special natives, koalas Nivea, 9, and Sprite, 8.

Accompanied by the premier of Queensland, Anna Bligh, and husband Prince Philip, the monarch enjoyed some one-on-one time with the precious pair at the Rainforest Walk, even inquiring if they had been affected by the region's disastrous flooding in January.

"They had to be evacuated to higher ground," handler Jacquie Drumm explained, citing the damage that occurred at their sanctuary.

But while the Queen took a keen interest in the animal duo, Nivea and Sprite remained unfazed by the famous faces in their midst, continuing to chew on their eucalyptus leaves as the royals looked on.
