Swoon Alert! Robert Pattinson Plays Prince Charming for His Rescue Dog

Looks like Robert Pattinson is as dashing in real life as he is as Twilight alter-ego Edward Cullen.

Promoting The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 on Live! With Regis and Kelly Thursday, the British hunk opened up about rescuing his dog from a shelter near Baton Rouge, La.

"He was in one those shelters where they don't keep them around for very long," Pattinson told hosts Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa. "He was on his sixth of seven days."

But after being adopted by the actor, Pattinson's puppy, Bear, saw his life turn around immediately.

"Just by coincidence – this doesn't happen in my life very often – but I ended up being on a private jet like three days later," he continued. "It was kind of ridiculous. Literally three days after that, we were going to L.A. and he had his own seat [on the plane]."

Since that first trip, Bear has quickly adapted to his owner's jet-setting lifestyle, traveling to Toronto and California, and Pattinson sees that trend continuing.

"I've smuggled him over borders many times," he admitted.
