Rose McGowan Meets a Hairy (and Hungry!) Eland on Safari
The actress, who is filming the indie flick Tell Tale Heart in New Orleans, took time out to mingle with some mammals at the Global Wildlife Center in Folsom, La., which is home to 33 species of animals.
"On my way to a wild animal park! Yippee!" she Tweeted.
The animal lover took a private tour of the park in a Swiss army Jeep that seats nine passengers. At one point, she was taken aback by a dominant male cape eland who took a nose dive into a cup of feed that she held in her hands.
"I was not expecting my 'safari' to be so interactive," she said, sharing a photo of the cow-like African creature on Twitter.
According to Nancy Ruis, a press officer for the park, the elands are infamous around the wildlife center: "They're our professional cup stealers."
