Sneak Peek: Dead Pets Live On in TLC's I Cloned My Pet

Trouble the dog died three years ago and his owner, Danielle, has a veritable shrine to the canine in her Staten Island, N.Y., home. Trouble's face graces the walls, a comforter, and Danielle sleeps beside a urn of his ashes every night – she's even saved the last piece of chicken the 18-year-old pooch nibbled from. But none of it is enough.

Danielle wants a clone.

A new TLC special debuting next month explores the motivations of pet-owners who want to bring their cherished pets back from the dead, and the exorbitant costs they are willing to pay to get them back.

In this exclusive clip, Danielle, who has given the dog's remains to Korean scientists to be harvested, explains just how far she's willing to go to see her little friend again.

"I would spend my last penny on having Trouble back," she says.
